Bracket Cross Auger Cover
The Bracket Cross Auger Cover project by Argo Products involved the manufacturing of a heavy-duty bracket for a combine unit, designed to withstand the demanding conditions of agricultural applications. This project required precision manufacturing techniques, utilizing CNC wire forming and stamping as primary processes, with robotic welding and additional forming as secondary operations to ensure structural integrity and durability.
To fabricate the bracket, Argo Products utilized advanced equipment, including the Robomac CNC machine, Lincoln Electric Robotic Weld Station, Straight Side Punch Press, and Press Brake. These machines enabled precise forming, welding, and stamping, ensuring the bracket met exact specifications.
The component was constructed using 16mm low carbon steel, 7GA high-strength low-alloy (HSLA) Grade 50 steel, and 14GA HSLA Grade 50 steel, materials selected for their superior strength and durability. To enhance longevity and resistance to environmental factors, the bracket received a powder coat over primer, achieving a Class B finish for enhanced protection and a refined appearance.
This project highlights Argo Products' expertise in precision metal fabrication, showcasing their ability to deliver rugged, high-quality components tailored for heavy-duty agricultural machinery.
